Algarve Young Violinist International Summer Academy 2026

A unique opportunity for young violinists aged 13-18 to develop and elevate their playing in the magical setting of Praia da Luz, a town situated on the stunning western Algarve coastline. Directed by Dr Sofia Yatsyuk, this is the Academy’s second year, with this year’s intensive violin master course being held in August.

The course comprises of daily individual lessons, performance classes, chamber music coaching, rehearsals with an accompanist, an introduction into yoga for young musicians, as well as plenty of exciting outdoor excursions. The week ends with a beautiful showcase concert that welcomes parents and classical music lovers from the local town.

This Summer Academy offers a unique environment for focused musical growth, an opportunity to master advanced techniques, perfect the basics, learn deliberate practice methods, gain performance experience, while exploring the Algarve and creating beautiful music with like-minded peers!
