Algarve Young Violinist International Summer Academy 2026, August 9th - 16th

A unique opportunity for young violinists aged 12-17 to develop and elevate their playing in the magical setting of Praia da Luz, a town situated on the stunning western Algarve coastline. Directed by the Ukrainian-British concert violinist and recording artist Dr Sofia Yatsyuk, this is the Academy’s second year, with this year’s course being held from August 9th to August 16th.

This learning experience comprises of daily one-on-one violin lessons, performance classes, chamber music coaching, rehearsals with an accompanist, an introduction to yoga for young musicians, as well as plenty of exciting outdoor excursions. The activities foster a deep passion for music, and the week ends with a beautiful showcase concert that welcomes parents and classical music lovers from the local town.

This Summer Academy offers a unique environment for focused musical growth, an opportunity to master advanced techniques, perfect the basics, learn deliberate practice methods, gain performance experience, while exploring the Algarve and creating beautiful music with like-minded peers!
